Sacramento – Police on Monday formally identified the six people killed in a mass shooting in California’s capital as they searched for at least two gunmen who opened fire on a crowded downtown street.The Sacramento County coroner identified the three dead women as Johntaya Alexander, 21, Melinda Davis, 57, and Yamile Martinez-Andrade, 21.The three male victims were identified as Sergio Harris, 38, Joshua Hoye-Lucchesi, 32, and Devazia Turner, 29.Twelve others were injured, at least four of them seriously.The Sacramento Police Department now has a website for the public to upload evidence.Police Chief Kathy Lester isn’t releasing details of the investigation so far, but she pleaded with the public to share video and other evidence related to the case.The street where the crime took place has been reopened to the public, who are free to place flowers and candles at the scene.A witness told local media that “more than 100 shots were fired in a short period of time.””Today, America mourns yet another community devastated by gun violence,” President Joe Biden said in a statement on Tuesday.But we must do more than mourn;We have to act.”On Feb. 28, a father killed his three children and a guardian before taking his own life in a Sacramento church.
