Xinhua News Agency Shanghai, April 1 (reporter Yuan Quan, Hu Jiefei)Shanghai began a new round of nucleic acid screening in batches along the Huangpu River on March 28.At a press conference on epidemic prevention and control in Shanghai on April 1, an official from the Shanghai Municipal Health Commission said that two nucleic acid screening tests were conducted in Pudong, Punan and adjacent areas within four days, and more than 18 million people were taken.Preliminary data from the two previous screenings showed a decrease in the positive detection rate.Wu Jinglei, director of the Shanghai Municipal Health Commission, said that after the first batch of screening in Pudong, Punan and adjacent areas, after comprehensive analysis of the screening results, according to the national joint prevention and control mechanism, the next step will be based on the principles of zoning, classification and grid management.By designating prevention and control areas in a scientific way and implementing more precise category-based management measures, we have effectively contained the spread of the epidemic in communities, achieved maximum prevention and control effects at the lowest cost, and minimized the impact of the epidemic on economic and social development.At present, nucleic acid screening has been carried out in Puxi area of Shanghai.According to the Relevant authorities of the Shanghai Municipal Civil Affairs Bureau, Shanghai has put forward guidelines to improve the current weak links in community epidemic prevention and control management, including implementing the requirements of “staying indoors” during containment management, maintaining the order of nucleic acid testing and sampling, and coordinating medical needs.
